FAQ

Languages & services offered

What languages and dialects do you specialize in?
We work with a wide range of languages across all continents, including European, Asian, and African languages. Our linguists are native speakers and understand regional dialects, country-specific variants, and culturally appropriate usage. Our native in-house speakers lend our English translations that extra glow, increasing the appeal and effectiveness of your communication.

Do you offer localization services in addition to translation?
Yes, we offer full localization services to ensure your content is culturally and contextually appropriate. All localization is done by native linguists from the target market.

Do you offer revision or editing services?
Yes, we provide revision and editing services either as part of a translation package or as a stand-alone service.

Can you proofread my English document for errors?

Yes, we have decades of experience proofreading English. We use specialized tools to ensure spelling accuracy and consistency, but we take the greatest pride in our experienced in-house proofreaders. They ensure that your message is fluid and meticulously reviewed.

What is copy editing?

Copy editing gives you all the benefits of proofreading combined with more substantial edits to make your message more powerful and accessible to the reader.

Do you provide certified or sworn translations?
Yes, we can provide certified or sworn translations upon request.

Can you handle multilingual projects and coordinate across languages?
Absolutely. We manage multilingual projects regularly and coordinate across languages to ensure a unified tone and efficient project delivery.

How do you handle cultural adaptation or transcreation when necessary?
Cultural adaptation and transcreation are a key part of our offering, especially for marketing and branding content. We work with linguists who have relevant expertise in cultural nuance and are skilled in crafting a message that will speak to your target audience.

Process & Quality Assurance

Do you use human translators, machine translation and AI, or a combination of both?
We primarily use native human linguists to ensure the highest quality. However, we can also work with machine translation (MT) and AI where appropriate—particularly when speed is critical or budgets are constrained—always backed up by human post-editing.

What is your quality assurance process?
Each translation undergoes a multi-step QA process, including initial translation by a subject-specialist linguist, followed by independent proofreading and editing when included in the scope of work. We apply terminology management tools, translation memory, and client-specific glossaries to ensure consistency and accuracy. Finally, our internal specialists leverage QA tools to identify potential errors in spelling, formatting or style.

How do you ensure consistency across large or ongoing projects?
We use a combination of dedicated linguists, CAT tools, translation memories, and centralized terminology databases to ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and style throughout your project. In the case of large projects, a single human reviser is critical to ensuring consistency.

What tools or software do you use (e.g. CAT tools, translation memory)?
We work with a variety of CAT tools including Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, and others. These tools help us maintain consistency, manage terminology, and increase efficiency over time.

Can you provide a sample translation or do a small test project?
Yes, we’re happy to provide a sample translation or carry out a small test project so you can assess our quality and style.

What’s your process for incorporating client feedback or terminology preferences?
We can integrate your glossaries, style guides, or terminology preferences from the start. We’re also happy to make revisions based on your feedback. Our goal is to create a collaborative, long-term partnership.

Do clients retain ownership of translation memories (TMs)?
Yes. If requested, we can deliver your translation memories at the end of the project. This helps you save time and costs for future work.

How do you handle confidentiality and data security?
We treat all client materials as strictly confidential. Our systems are GDPR-compliant, and we’re happy to sign NDAs upon request.
